A Novel Idea

I find as I write that I get overwhelmed at times. I feel like there is no end in sight. With all the drafts, editing and rewriting.

I also find it uninspiring to write in my living room, looking at the same beige walls day after day with nobody to talk to.

Enter Nancy Poon, a life coach. I had already had some coaching when I started my book but I had lost momentum. Nancy came on board then.

The living room seemed brighter when there was someone to discuss my progress with and bounce ideas off.

Nancy isn’t a book coach but a life coach but I needed encouragement. She provided plenty of that.

I had every reason under the sun to give up on my novel but my coaches counterarguments were solid. She talked me into keeping going.

It was fun chatting to Nancy and exploring thought patterns and goals with her.

I have another couple of sessions booked with Nancy for the summer. And my book is almost done. Five drafts later and now I’m onto editing. The end is in sight.
