Scarecrow Festival

Posted on March 12, 2023January 10, 2024 by helen

There was a scarecrow festival on in the village of Leap last year and a friend told me a funny story about it. There were scarecrows all along the road through the village and one day my friend was on the bus as it came up that road. He said to the driver to stop, that there was a woman waiting at the bus stop. The driver stopped but the woman turned out to be a scarecrow with a handbag on it’s arm and everything.

Another day, a man was driving through Leap and he stopped to give a friend a lift. The friend turned out to be another scarecrow with a big, fat belly and a hat on his head. The scarecrows had the village taken over, like a bizarre zombie film.
